William Stowman, chair, department of music, performed as guest soloist with the Philadelphia Wind Symphony on Dec. 11 for the group’s fall concert. The ensemble was directed by Bradley Genevro, director of bands, who is one of several guest conductors for the ensemble’s 2012-2013 season. Bill performed the “The Rose Variations” by American Composer Robert Russell Bennett on the Cornet. Bill is an Edwards Performing Artist and also endorsed by Pickett Brass, Lexington, Ky.


Position available:

Campus Events Worker I, Boyer Hall, Third Shift (Custodial) — The department of campus events currently has an opening for a campus events worker I. This is a full-time, 12-month, third-shift, band 7A position. This position is responsible for being a part of a team cleaning Boyer Hall. Job responsibilities include the cleaning of offices, classrooms and public spaces. Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and share the enthusiasm of being a part of a college community, as well as have the ability to interact professionally with students and conference guests. Cleaning experience is preferred but is not required.
