And this is love: that we walk in obedience to his commands. As you have heard from the beginning, his command is that you walk in love.

MESSIAH 411

Bethesda Mission Donations
Thank you to everyone who donated items for Bethesda Mission at our employee Christmas luncheon. We collected a total of 595 pounds of socks, deodorant, toothpaste, sports balls, spiral notebooks and binders! Our grounds department graciously loaded a pickup truck and delivered the goods prior to Christmas break. Thanks, all!

Safety Contest
Congratulations to Cindy Burger, the winner of the Workplace Safety Committee’s safety contest question for December. She will receive a $50 gift card. The question for December was: In your primary work area, where is the location of the nearest fire pull alarm and AED? We hope everyone took the time to find the location of all emergency equipment and emergency exits for their work location.

Remember that for each of the remaining months of the contest, a question will be distributed to all employees via mass email. All correct answers for the month will go into a prize drawing; each month the prize is a $50 gift card. Watch your email on Monday, Jan. 11 for the next question!

Employee mileage reimbursement rate

IRS has announced an adjusted mileage reimbursement rate of $0.54 per mile for car, van, pickup truck or panel truck effective Jan. 1. Messiah College has adopted the rate decrease. Mileage reimbursement requests, regardless of travel date, should be calculated using the new rate of $0.54 per mile. Please note: this rate is for reimbursement requests only and does not impact the College’s internal charges for use of fleet vehicles.

For your convenience, an updated Mileage reimbursement form will be available at McSquare_EmployeeQuicklinks_BusinessOffice_Forms or click here: http://mcweb.messiah.edu/mcsquare/businessoffice/Documents/Mileage%20Form%20FY16.pdf.
