Plan to attend Community Day on August 23

All employees are encouraged to attend Community Day on Tuesday, Aug. 23 from 9-10:30 a.m. in the Calvin and Janet High Center for Worship and Performing Arts. This annual Messiah tradition serves as the ceremonial launch of the new academic year for employees with opportunities for corporate worship and fellowship, as well as the presentation of the President’s State of the College address. Refreshments will be available after the gathering from 10:30-11:30 a.m. on the Eisenhower Campus Center lawn (rain location is Howe Atrium, Boyer Hall). All offices and departments (with the exception of Dispatch and the Early Learning Center) will close from 8:45-11:30 a.m. to allow employees to attend the gathering and reception. Collaboratory bridge work featured in Central Penn Business Journal

The Collaboratory was recently highlighted in the August 8 Central Penn Business Journal for the work that the Panama Bridge team was able to accomplish this summer in partnership with Rio Missions and local engineering firms. Dr. Brian Swartz is the engineering advisor for this project. Dr. Doug Phillippy served as a site team advisor in May.
