Catering department changes

Things are changing in the Catering department in order to make your life more flavorful and easier! With the fall season quickly approaching, we are thrilled to announce our new 2017 fall seasonal menu is now available. Each item was thoughtfully selected to offer an exciting twist on those iconic fall flavors we all love and look forward to, so please check it out. Please visit our website at www.messiah.edu/catering to view the new fall seasonal menu. We are confident that your taste buds will be satisfied and leave you wanting more! The catering website will also contain a new electronic catering waiver form. This form replaces the catering exception form. We simply ask that it be completed at least 15 days prior to the actual event date. While this does make the submission process much more convenient, the policy for doing so has not changed. If you have any questions regarding this, please reference our catering policies which can also be found on our website or contact us at 717-796-4095. We look forward to working with you all and making each event a delicious success!

Changes to employee family ID card activation and eligibility

Spouses and dependent children between the ages of 16-18 of benefit-eligible employees are able to receive a Messiah College family ID card from the Falcon Exchange. Moving into this new academic year, we are taking the opportunity to reset our family ID card system.  To do this, we will be inactivating all existing Family ID cards on Aug. 24. Once an ID card is inactivated, it will cease to work until our office reactivates it.

If your spouse and eligible child(ren) currently have family ID cards and you would like those cards to remain active:

  • You should email Falconexchange@messiah.edu from your Messiah employee email account before Aug. 24 and ask that your family member’s ID cards remain active.
  • Please include in your email the name of your spouse and the name of each of your dependent children between the ages of 16-18. Please include the birthdates of your dependent children. If your spouse and eligible child(ren) do not currently have a family ID card, but you would like them to have a card:
  • Please bring your spouse and eligible children by the Falcon Exchange in person to ask that they be issued a family ID card.
  • Please ask your family members to bring photo ID such as a driver’s license or high school ID.I didn’t see this announcement until after Aug. 24 but would like the ID cards that were already issued to my spouse and eligible child(ren) to be active:
  • You should email Falconexchange@messiah.edu from your Messiah employee email account and ask that your family member(s) ID cards be reactivated.
  • Please include in your email the name of your spouse and the name of each of your dependent children between the ages of 16-18. Please include the birthdates of your dependent children. Please note the age range of dependent child ID cards is changing from ages 14-21 to the new age range of 16-18. Cards previously issued to dependent children outside of the current range of 16-18 will not be reactivated. If your child is younger than 16, please bring them to Falcon Exchange when they reach their 16 birthday and a new ID card will be issued to them.

Please email Falconexchange@messiah.edu or call us at ext. 7213 with any questions you may have.
