Plan to attend Community Day

All employees are encouraged to attend Community Day on Tuesday, Aug. 28 from 9-10:30 a.m. in the Calvin and Janet High Center for Worship and Performing Arts. This annual Messiah tradition serves as the ceremonial launch of the new academic year for employees with opportunities for corporate worship and fellowship, as well as the presentation of the president’s State of the College address. Refreshments will be available after the gathering from 10:30-11:30 a.m. in front of Climenhaga (rain location is Howe Atrium, Boyer Hall). All offices and departments (with the exception of Dispatch and the Early Learning Center) will close from 8:45-11:30 a.m. to allow employees to attend the gathering and reception. Fireworks safety

Each Fourth of July, thousands of people, most often children and teens, are injured while using consumer fireworks. Despite the dangers, few people understand the risks…devastating burns, other injuries, fires and even deaths. Falcon Exchange student early arrival meal card deadline

Departments bringing students back early for athletic participation, work or volunteer assistance, etc. will need to complete an Early Arrival Card Request Form if you would like to provide meals to your students. The deadline to submit the form is July 15. Questions may be directed to falconexchange@messiah.edu or ext. 7213.
