And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.

Romans 8:28

MESSIAH 411

Wireless network changes (IMPORTANT)

Campus wireless networks are changing to enhance both security and ease of use for campus guests. This may require you to reconnect devices to the wireless before the dates below to ensure reliable usage. There are two new wireless networks available NOW that you should begin using before the old ones are turned off. “Messiah Secure” – Employees and students should use this network to ensure access to everything you need using encrypted communications. Most Windows-based computers owned by the College should automatically use this network but some may not be automatic so please check. Mac computers and mobile devices will NOT automatically change. Information on how to connect Windows, Chromebook, MacOS, iOS and Android devices are in the following blog article: http://blogs.messiah.edu/its/question/connecting-to-messiahs-wireless-network. “Messiah Guest” – Intended for guests to campus who only need basic internet access. It will require checking a box to agree to Messiah policies every 24 hours. It cannot be used to access college resources such as Canvas, self-service, Banner, Unimarket, etc. If college services are needed, connect to Messiah Secure instead. The two networks above are replacing MC-WPA and MC-Open which will be no longer be available following this schedule: Monday, Aug. 13.

MC-Open removed from entire campus

MC-WPA removed from residence halls only

Monday, Sept. 17

MC-WPA removed from entire campus

If you have questions, concerns or need assistance with this change, please review the blog article mentioned previously or contact the ITS Helpdesk at ext. 4444 from a campus phone or 717-796-4444 from a cell or off-campus phone.

Request of Institutional Insurance Services

Effective Aug. 13, request for needs related to institutional insurance can be made by contacting Heather Negley, project manager and executive assistant to the vice president for operations. This includes request for certificates of liability, questions related to fleet or insured items and the reporting of incidents that the college’s policy may cover.
