Additionally, Jeremy Abbey, graduate assistant for Residence Life is beginning his first year at Biola University, one of our partner institutions.

Todd Goranson, professor of music, completed the Essentials of Performing Arts Medicine certification through the Performing Arts Medicine Association on July 31. Founded in 1988, PAMA’s mission is to work with and for the health of performing artists through education, research, and a commitment to a deep understanding of the special needs associated with the performing arts.

The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry recently received renewal of their American Chemical Society Approval until 2028, allowing for ACS certification of our majors. The ACS Committee on Professional Training noted, in particular, the department’s thoughtful approach to skill development and use of instrumentation throughout the curriculum, as well as the strong undergraduate research program.

Homecoming volunteers needed

The Office of Alumni and Parent Relations is in need of employee volunteers to serve at registration for Homecoming and Family Weekend 2022! Volunteers are needed in in two-hour timeslots on Saturday, Oct. 1, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. If you are interested and available to serve in this capacity, please contact Ashley Sider at asider@messiah.edu with your availability. Deadline for Submitting Fall 2022 EMS Events

Friday, Oct. 28 is the deadline to submit your Fall 2021 EMS event requests that include tech/audio needs, set up needs or events that require tickets. End-of-the-year requests with service needs received after Oct 28th will be denied.

Requests that do not require these needs will still be accepted as will any event for 2023. Email roomres@messiah.edu with any questions.
