Zipcar is here!
Get behind the wheel with Zipcar! Having a car on campus just got a whole lot easier. Zipcar, the world’s leading car-sharing service, is now at Messiah College! Two Zipcars are ready for reservations at outside of Larsen Student Union (in front of Hess Residence Hall on College Avenue). What does this mean? Students, faculty and staff now have access to wheels with no strings attached for only $15/year. Once approved, members simply make a reservation on Zipcar’s free mobile app and pay by the hour or day, 24/7, with rates as low as $7.50/hr. You only need to be 18 years of age with a valid driver’s license – international drivers included! Once you’re a member, reserve a car online or on your phone for as little as an hour or as long as seven days. Scan into the car using your Zipcard (the keys are already in the car) and drive away (just make sure to return the car back its home outside the Union, in front of Hess, at the end of your reservation)! Learn how to Zip at www.zipcar.com/how. With Zipcar parked right on campus, it’s easy to get to the city, do errands, or even take a road trip. And since Zipcar covers gas, insurance, and 180 miles per day, you can enjoy the freedom of the open road without any of the extra costs. For more information on ID and/or documents needed for international students please refer to zipcar.com/apply/foreign-drivers.
