The School of Science, Engineering and Health is pleased to welcome Vinny Sakore (MBA, CIPT) as our full-time director of cybersecurity education, effective August 1. In this role, Vinny will execute Messiah’s strategic plan to build and manage a top-ranked and comprehensive cybersecurity educational program, including academic programs and industry initiatives. Vinny is not new to Messiah, as he has been a visiting assistant professor of cybersecurity since 2019. Vinny is chief technology officer for NetDiligence and formerly worked for six years as HIPAA Security Office for Verizon until 2017.

Student successfully passes CFA Level I exam

Congratulations to Owen Kenny, senior finance major, who successfully passed Level I of the CFA (chartered financial analyst) exam. Over 25,000 candidates sat for the exam worldwide and the pass rate was only 25%. Owen’s score placed him well above the 90th percentile of all candidates who sat for the exam.

We wish Owen continued success as he moves on to Level II of the exam!

Housing Needed. An incoming, male, non-traditional aged (low 30s), transfer student is looking for local housing, but has had challenges renting because he is a student. If you have a rental property and would consider renting to this student, please email bwatkins@messiah.edu. Thank you!

Items for MU student. Seeking a storage cube (with or without the fabric collapsible cubes) and small flat screen TV for Messiah student. My family has been housing a MU student for several months. Currently the student is getting ready to move into the Oakwood Hills Apartments. This student is financially responsible for herself and seeking a few items to move into her apartment.
