Keith Quesenberry, associate professor of marketing, published an article in the business trade publication Entrepreneur “Why You Need to Be an influencer Brand and the 3 Rs of Becoming One.” There is a lot of focus on influencers in marketing today, but he makes the case for brands to become influencers by following a 3 R framework of Relevance, Reach, and Resonance.

Dwayne Safer, associate professor of finance, recently taught a weeklong series of workshops to the Girls Who Invest (GWI) program on the campus of The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. GWI is a non-profit organization dedicated to increasing the number of women in portfolio management and executive leadership in the asset management industry. Each summer, GWI’s flagship summer college program consists of four weeks of training where the scholars learn core finance and investment topics followed by a seven-week internship at leading global investment management firms. The 2022 cohort, consisting of rising junior undergraduates, included 207 students from 80 universities representing 75 different majors.
Damian Savarino, associate professor of music, recently performed the bass solos in Haydn’s LORD NELSON MASS at Carnegie Hall, with Eliza Rubenstein (conductor) and the New York City Chamber Orchestra. The concert was produced by Manhattan Concert Productions. Savarino has sung with MCP several times and has performed in Carnegie Hall over a dozen times since 2010.
The In-plant Printing and Mailing Association (IPMA) in Kearney, Missouri awarded Messiah Press director Dwayne Magee the IPMA President’s Award in Buffalo, New York on June 14. The award was given in recognition of Dwayne’s leadership, dedication and outstanding service to in-plant printers and to the IPMA. Congratulations Dwayne on your recognition.

Murray Library is for children, too!
All staff and their families are invited to stop by Murray Library and check out the juvenile collections. This includes the Bridge to Freedom and Graphic Novel collections, too. There are over 14,500 books to choose from. There are picture books and chapter books for Pre-K through teens. Popular series are included like Don’t Let the Pigeon…, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Hunger Games, Mr. Lemoncello’s Library, and many more. Also stop by the whimsical Fiddlehead forest room which has fun seating and stuffed animals.
