“Do not be amazed at this, for a time is coming when all who are in their graves will hear his voice and come out—those who have done what is good will rise to live, and those who have done what is evil will rise to be condemned.”
John 5:28-29

The Little Sisters of Hoboken, residents of Mt. St. Helens Convent and teachers at the school, have a problem. It seems Sister Julia (Child of God) has accidentally killed off 52 sisters with a botulism-laced soup. But even worse, the remaining nuns only had enough cash to bury 48 of the dearly departed; the other four are in the freezer. The Little Sisters must raise money for a proper burial before the health inspector comes!
The nuns, written affectionately by Goggin, a lifelong devout Catholic, and portrayed with equal joy, are depicted as people who had lives before their decisions to enter the convent. Their identities, who they are now and who they have been, are key, especially considering one nun who does not remember her past life due to an accident! One wanted to be a star, another wanted to be a ballet dancer. Yet they all gave up those dreams and devoted themselves to the Church.
Estimated run time: 2 hours and 10 minutes, including one 10- minute intermission.
Tickets: $15—Adults; $12—MU students (w/ID), MU employees (w/ID), youth (under 18) and seniors (60+) Tickets can be purchased online at messiah.edu/tickets, by phone at 717-691-6036, or at the door as available. Discounts are available for groups of 10 or more.

Course materials delivered with Unreasonable Hospitality
This summer, the Division of Operations leadership team chose to embrace the concept of Unreasonable Hospitality which challenges each member of the team to use their creativity and resources to go above and beyond for those we serve. To celebrate this initiative, the Campus Store team created a prayer card insert to place in each of the 1,266 packages of fall course materials that were delivered to campus residences (at no additional cost) as part of our Slingshot Choice program.
It read: We prayed for you as we picked, processed, and packed your order today, asking God to give you wisdom, strength, and endurance for the upcoming term. We hope everything you do–in the classroom, around campus, and beyond–brings glory, honor, and praise to the Giver of all knowledge. We are cheering you on, fellow Falcon, and are so glad you’re here. Have a productive semester and let us know how we can help you soar! “Prove me, O LORD, and try me; test my heart and my mind. For your loyal love is before my eyes, and I walk in your faithfulness.” Psalm 26:2-3
During fulfillment season we asked our staff to stay mindful of each person whose order they had a part in fulfilling. The night before the pallets were deployed for delivery, we prayed over those packages again asking the Lord to bless the recipients and to empower us to exceed expectations while supporting student success.
