APPRAISAL OF COLLEGE PROPERTY

Beginning Monday, June 8 and continuing for approximately two weeks, two gentlemen from Industrial Appraisal will be on campus to conduct an appraisal of all college property, i.e., buildings, furnishings, mechanicals, etc. If you have personal furnishings in your office, please mark as such. ACCOUNTING OFFICE OPEN HOUSE – $100,000 AND FISCAL YEAR-END CLOSE INFORMATION
The accounting office invites you to an Open House. Come join us for $100,000 chocolate currency (100 Grand Candy Bar, that is) and an information session on the fiscal year end close. The Open Houses are Friday, June 5, 9-10 a.m., Monday, June 8, 1-2 p.m., Tuesday, June 9, 11 a.m. – noon at Hoffman 2nd Floor – conference room 206. See Employee Training Channel (Business Office) on MCSquare to register. Messiah College’s fiscal year ends June 30. Financial transactions initiated during the last months of the fiscal year often warrant additional consideration to ensure charges are recorded in the appropriate fiscal year. To assist departments in recordkeeping between FY2015 and FY2016, information sessions will include a review of the financial close timeline and attempt to demystify some frequently asked questions about the fiscal year end and audit process. General accounting and reporting inquiries from session participants are welcomed and encouraged.
