Dr. Charlene Lane, assistant professor of social work, was a featured keynote speaker at the annual Everyday Lives conference at Hershey which was hosted by Pennsylvania Department of Human Services, Office of Developmental Programs. Topic: The Post Traumatic Growth Perspective: Understanding the culture of individuals with complex needs and their families. Date presented: Tuesday, Jan. 7.
Congratulations to Jenny Dose (business) for the most downloaded scholarly publication from Mosaic in the past month! The article titled, “The Relationship between Work Values Similarity and Team–Member and Leader–Member Exchange Relationships” (https://mosaic.messiah.edu/bus_ed/18) was downloaded 19 times this month, with a total of 41 uses since being uploaded. Last month, the website had 3,082 full-text downloads and 146 new submissions overall. We continue to seek the addition of more educator scholarship to include in Mosaic, Messiah’s Open Scholarship and Intellectual Creativity. The Career and Professional Development Center announces the spring semester Pizza with Professionals events
The CPDC is hosting many organizations on campus this spring as part of the popular “Pizza with Professionals” series. During each Pizza with Professional event, the speaker (usually a Messiah alum) will talk to students about their career path, current position, and any job or internship opportunities available within their organization. Students will then have an opportunity to ask questions of the speaker. Free pizza will also be served.
