Windows update and activation errors for remote users

While working remotely for an extended period of time, you may get a Microsoft Activation Error or an error regarding missing Windows updates. To resolve this, please connect to Open VPN and work while connected for a day. This should resolve the issue. If it does not, please email helpdesk@messiah.edu for further assistance.

Work-study/inactive computers

Please power on all work-study and other inactive computers. Since these computers have not been in use for an extended period of time, they will be slower than usual while updates are being done. Updates will happen automatically on the computers. If there are any issues, please contact the Helpdesk at helpdesk@messiah.edu or ext. 4444.

Mass email communications for graduate students

A new email group has been added to the Mass Email system called All On-Campus Graduate Students. When sending out mass emails that include graduate students, please consider whether the communication should go to All Graduate Students (of which the majority take all coursework online) or if it should only go to graduate students who have coursework at Winding Hill.

Weekly Trivia

Trivia! Think you know your stuff? Look for our weekly trivia question about Messiah University every Monday morning. The trivia box is located right inside the library doors so submit your answer and you could win a free Cafe Diem beverage. All entries this semester will be submitted for some awesome MU swag!
