Keith Quesenberry, assistant professor of marketing, was recently quoted in the New York Times article “Yes, More Facebook Friends Are Asking You for Money” on Dec. 26. He also published an article in Harvard Business Review “The Basic Social Media Mistakes Companies Still Make”  on Jan. 2.

Dr. Dottie Weigel, Graduate Program in Higher Education, was appointed to the editorial board for The Journal of The First-Year Experience and Students in Transition. The Journal is a semiannual, refereed publication providing current research on the first college year and other significant student transitions.

EMPOWER is back!

One of the most popular wellness programs we’ve offered at Messiah is back for the spring semester. EMPOWER is an on-site weight management program that enables participants to move forward in meeting personal goals, provides helpful knowledge in the areas of physical activity and nutrition, and creates a community of support.

Through eight weekly meetings, utilizing interactive engagement with a senior health coach and individual sharing, participants are guided into a lifetime of weight management success, and strengthened by a community of support within the workplace.

We are offering the 8-week program on Mondays from 12:30-1:30 p.m., beginning Jan. 29. We can only offer the program if we get at least 15 employees to register, so find a friend and sign up today. Please only register if you are able to attend at least six of the eight sessions. Register by emailing Doug Miller at dmiller@messiah.edu. Deadline for registrations is Jan. 15.

Seventeen undergraduate HDFS students joined three HDFS faculty in attending and contributing to the conference program. Dr. Erin Boyd-Soisson, professor of human development and family science, and Lindsay Bower ’17 (HDFS) presented “Experiential Learning: Assessing the Effectiveness of a Preschool Observation Assignment in Students’ Retention of Child Development Course Concepts and Theories.” Dr. Robert Reyes, professor of human development and family science, and Josiah Harmes ‘19 (HDFS) presented “Experiential Learning and its Impact on the Affective Domain of Learning.” He also co-presented “The Effect of Local Immigration Policy and Enforcement on Midwestern Immigrant Families” with Jorge Chvez, Marlana del Hierro and Omhagain Dayeen. Dr. Raeann Hamon, distinguished professor of family science and gerontology, and Verity Hwang ‘19 (HDFS) presented “Creating an FLE Program in an Undergraduate Family Life Education Methodology Capstone Course.” Hamon and Susan Piland ’18 (HDFS) joined other colleagues in presenting a roundtable at the Affiliate Councils Workshop entitled “Mid-Atlantic Council—Over 25 Years of Insight—Engaging Students and Professionals Through the MACFR Annual Conference.” Hamon and Amanda Strong ‘18 (HDFS) also co-presented a paper entitled “Promoting Intergenerational Diversity Outside the College Classroom: The Elder Service Partner Program.”

Raeann Hamon, distinguished professor of family science and gerontology, and Suzanne Smith (Washington State University, Vancouver) had their article “Family Science as Translational Science: A History of the Discipline” published in Family Relations, doi:10.1111/fare.12273. Hamon was asked to write the lead article for this special collection which examined the translational nature of family science.

Associate Professor of Music Dr. Damian Savarino recently made his singing debut with the Helena Symphony Orchestra (MT) under the direction of acclaimed conductor and Philadelphia native Maestro Allan Scott. Savarino performed the bass solos in Handel’s MESSIAH to a sold-out audience in the Cathedral of St. Helena. All of the contracted soloists, including Savarino, were members of Wade Artist Management in New York City.

PLCs will cover a range of relevant topics, from fostering international student success and self-assessment in preparation for term-tenure and promotion, to the new book, Diversity Matters. In collaboration with the Teaching and Learning Initiative, Learning Technology Services will also be offering a PLC on Universal Design for Learning (UDL). More details, including dates and descriptions, will be shared in early January.

Summer student employment

If your department plans to hire student employees for the summer of 2018, please read the summer hiring information found here prior to proceeding with the summer hiring process or making employment offers.

In order to assist students with obtaining summer on-campus employment and to facilitate earlier placement of students, the Student Employment Office will be holding a summer job fair on Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2018 from 11:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. in Hostetter Chapel. Departments hiring for one or more new positions and/or replacement positions are required to attend the job fair unless all summer workers are already actively working for the department or are being rehired from the prior summer. Please send an email to bconrad@messiah.edu by Feb. 2 to let us know if you will be attending the job fair.

All summer hires, including current student employees and prior-summer student employees, must be processed and approved for hire by submitting a hiring proposal via the jobs.messiah.edu system. Summer hiring proposals are due no later than March 23, 2018.

Advise a J-Term break service trip

The Agapé Center for Service and Learning is pleased to offer employees an opportunity to participate in and advise a student service trip over J-Term Break 2018, which will take place Thursday, Feb. 1-Sunday, Feb. 4.

Advisors serve alongside students, assist student leaders in facilitation of reflection and devotions, and assist in any problem-solving that may arise. All costs are covered for advisors.

We are currently looking for advisors who may be interested in specifically serving with Children’s Bible Fellowship of New York (Carmel, New York), Priority One Ministries (Bronx, New York) and World Impact (Newark, New Jersey).

Children’s Bible Fellowship (Carmel, New York)
For nearly 75 years, CBFNY has worked with inner city, at-risk, and disabled youth through summer camp programs consisting of a variety of activities. Messiah students will have the opportunity to participate in outreach and discipleship ministries and will engage in team-building, evangelism and conflict resolution skills through an in-depth orientation that will introduce participants to the realities of urban life.

Priority 1 Ministries (Bronx, New York)
This service trip offers numerous ways to serve. Some students may be serving in a storehouse organizing food and other materials for distribution while others might be directly interacting with homeless communities. Additionally, students will have the opportunity to work with children in an after school tutoring program.

World Impact (Newark, New Jersey)
World Impact is a Christian mission organization dedicated to ministering God’s love in the inner cities of America. Its purpose is to honor and glorify God and delight in Him in the inner cities by knowing God and making him known through evangelism, follow-up discipleship and planting culturally conducive churches.

Saturday Science Programs at The Oakes Museum of Natural History

The OMNH Curator Club Saturday Science Programs begin again in January. There are six activities including weather prediction, local birds and dangerous plants! Curator Club provides educational science enrichment for kids in grades 3-5 and CC2 is for kids in grades 6-8. Program attendees receive a membership card for free admission to The Oakes Museum of Natural History, a t-shirt and a certificate for three free admissions to bring a friend. Dean Curry, the first and only director of the College Honors Program (CHP) since its inception in 1997, has announced his planned retirement at the end of the 2017-2018 academic year.  We all wish Dean the best as he now plans for a well-deserved retirement at the end of this academic year.

Accounts payable holiday payment schedule

The final accounts payable payments in December will be issued on Dec. 21. Please plan by Dec. 12 for a payment on Dec. 21. It is important that all payments for services, honorariums, officials, etc. who performed during 2017 be paid in the 2017 calendar year to meet IRS tax reporting guidelines. Requisition to Check processing should be 1-2 weeks prior to your payment needs. This is to allow adequate time for vendor setup, IRS verification, approvals and invoice processing. Employee Christmas Luncheon, donation opportunity

In the spirit of Christmas, we are again offering employees the opportunity to give at our Employee Christmas Luncheon on Dec. 15.  The devastation caused by Hurricane Maria to the U.S. Territory of Puerto Rico struck a chord in many of our hearts. We contacted several organizations helping with the relief effort on the island and were most inspired by the work of Mennonite Disaster Service, a local charity based in Lititz, Pennsylvania. They have made several visits to Puerto Rico since September and are doing much needed restoration work. One of their projects includes the rebuilding of a Christian, non-denominational school called Academia Menonita Betania. This school is located in a rural section of Puerto Rico and serves 127 students, three of whom are from the Mennonite community. The destruction to the school was vast – the roof was blown off and water damage was extensive throughout the lower floors. Furniture, books, supplies and all musical instruments were destroyed.

While oftentimes disaster relief efforts benefit from donated goods, the situation in Puerto Rico is particularly complex in the type of aid needed to rehabilitate the country. Most organizations working in-country are not able to handle a deluge of material donations and currently do not have the means of transportation, storage or people-power. Financial contributions, however, do allow organizations like Mennonite Disaster Service to provide on-the-ground food and housing materials as well as skilled volunteers in rebuilding homes and infrastructure.

Your support can fund the following:

$1 – A meal for a volunteer

$5 – One pound of drywall screws

$10 – Hammer

$18 – Bag of cement

$25 – Shovel

$37 – Support a volunteer for one day (travel, meals, lodging)

Donations will be collected prior to the luncheon, in the lobby outside Lottie Nelson Dining Room.  If paying by check, please make your check payable to Mennonite Disaster Service.  Be assured that all donations from Messiah College will go directly to the restoration of the school.

We are very appreciative of President’s Cabinet, who will match our collective donations of $1000 with an additional $500.

Summer student employment

If your department plans to hire student employees for the summer of 2018, please read the summer hiring information found here prior to proceeding with the summer hiring process or making employment offers.
In order to assist students with obtaining summer on-campus employment and to facilitate earlier placement of students, the Student Employment Office will be holding a summer job fair on Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2018 from 11:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. in Hostetter Chapel. Departments hiring for one or more new positions and/or replacement positions are required to attend the job fair unless all summer workers are already actively working for the department or are being rehired from the prior summer. Advise a J-Term break service trip

The Agapé Center for Service and Learning is pleased to offer employees an opportunity to participate in and advise a student service trip over J-Term Break 2018, which will take place Thursday, Feb. 1-Sunday, Feb. 4.

Advisors serve alongside students, assist student leaders in facilitation of reflection and devotions, and assist in any problem-solving that may arise. All costs are covered for advisors.

We are currently looking for advisors who may be interested in specifically serving with Children’s Bible Fellowship of New York (Carmel, New York), Priority One Ministries (Bronx, New York) and World Impact (Newark, New Jersey).

Children’s Bible Fellowship (Carmel, New York)
For nearly 75 years, CBFNY has worked with inner city, at-risk, and disabled youth through summer camp programs consisting of a variety of activities. Messiah students will have the opportunity to participate in outreach and discipleship ministries and will engage in team-building, evangelism and conflict resolution skills through an in-depth orientation that will introduce participants to the realities of urban life.

Priority 1 Ministries (Bronx, New York)
This service trip offers numerous ways to serve. Some students may be serving in a storehouse organizing food and other materials for distribution while others might be directly interacting with homeless communities. Additionally, students will have the opportunity to work with children in an after school tutoring program.

World Impact (Newark, New Jersey)
World Impact is a Christian mission organization dedicated to ministering God’s love in the inner cities of America. Its purpose is to honor and glorify God and delight in Him in the inner cities by knowing God and making him known through evangelism, follow-up discipleship and planting culturally conducive churches.

Saturday Science Programs at The Oakes Museum of Natural History

The OMNH Curator Club Saturday Science Programs begin again in January. There are six activities including weather prediction, local birds and dangerous plants! Curator Club provides educational science enrichment for kids in grades 3-5 and CC2 is for kids in grades 6-8. Program attendees receive a membership card for free admission to The Oakes Museum of Natural History, a t-shirt and a certificate for three free admissions to bring a friend. Four Messiah College students were winners in the Student Auditions of the Allegheny Mountain Chapter of the National Association of Teachers of Singing, which was recently held at Gettysburg College. Participants came from many colleges and universities in the central Pennsylvania area. Ian Bethmann won the Classical Senior Men division; Nathan Smith won the Classical Sophomore Men division; and Autumn Deck and Britney Yauger were winners in the Classical Junior Women division. Congratulations to these young and talented vocalists who are all students of Dr. Damian Savarino.

The final accounts payable payments in December will be issued on Dec. 21. Please plan by Dec. 12 for a payment on Dec. 21. Call for nominations: Class of 1964 Wittlinger Award

The Messiah College Class of 1964 established a student award in recognition of Dr. Carlton O. Wittlinger, their class advisor, as part of their 50th Class Reunion celebration. A graduate of Messiah Junior College in 1935, Wittlinger returned to Messiah and served over 35 years as a teacher and visionary administrator.

The Class of 1964 Wittlinger Award seeks to honor students who demonstrate Wittlinger’s broad academic accomplishments, including his qualities of persistence and unselfish dedication, as they pursue and develop their own academic leadership skills.

Candidates must be juniors with the highest academic promise, including a minimum 3.5 GPA, strong character, integrity and a commitment to service. All educators at Messiah are invited to nominate candidates since there is no restriction as to the major of the recipient.

To nominate a student, contact the director of the Sider Institute, Devin Manzullo-Thomas, at dcthomas@messiah.edu. Please include the student’s name, verification of junior status and a brief statement explaining why you feel the student merits the award. The final list of top candidates will be contacted to verify academic standing and interviewed by the selection committee. Once selected, the recipient will be presented with the Class of 1964 Wittlinger Award during the Wittlinger Chapel Series in February 2018. The award carries a $500 cash prize and a commemorative plaque.

2nd Annual Faculty Write-In

The Writing Program, the Writing Center, and the Teaching and Learning Initiative would like to invite faculty members to be a part of the second annual Faculty Write-In at the Writing Center during the J-term 2018.

As hosts for the week, we will offer a private room in the Writing Center from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m., Jan. 8-12. There will be a half-hour break each day to share lunch and conversation with fellow participants. Three times throughout the week (beginning, middle and end), there will be specific opportunities provided to share brief updates on progress with colleagues.

From participants, we request a commitment to be present in the Writing Center from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. each day and to work specifically on a writing project (as opposed to data crunching or some other auxiliary writing). This opportunity is perfect for those who want to jump-start a writing project that may have been postponed.

We are excited about collaborating to help foster the writing culture at Messiah College and hope that faculty members will consider joining us in the Writing Center for quiet, sustenance and collegial support this J-term. Dottie Weigel, graduate program in higher education, presented a pre-conference workshop “Making Learning Meaningful through Integrative Leaning” at the National Conference on Students in Transition in Costa Mesa, California. The annual conference is sponsored by the National Resource Center for The First-Year Experience and Students in Transition.

On Oct. 7, Nance McCown, associate professor of communication, presented findings from her sabbatical research at the Public Relations Society of America’s Educators Academy, the highly competitive, refereed research portion of the PRSA international conference held this year in Boston. Boston University hosted the morning panels and research paper presentations, while afternoon poster sessions and an evening awards reception took place at the Marriott Copy Place. McCown’s paper, based on a qualitative case study including in-depth interviews, participant observation, and internal document analysis, was titled “Non-profit Employee Engagement through internal Communication, Leadership Style, and Workplace Culture.”

Call for nominations: Class of 1964 Wittlinger Award

The Messiah College Class of 1964 established a student award in recognition of Dr. Carlton O. Wittlinger, their class advisor, as part of their 50th Class Reunion celebration. A graduate of Messiah Junior College in 1935, Wittlinger returned to Messiah and served over 35 years as a teacher and visionary administrator.

The Class of 1964 Wittlinger Award seeks to honor students who demonstrate Wittlinger’s broad academic accomplishments, including his qualities of persistence and unselfish dedication, as they pursue and develop their own academic leadership skills.

Candidates must be juniors with the highest academic promise, including a minimum 3.5 GPA, strong character, integrity and a commitment to service. All educators at Messiah are invited to nominate candidates since there is no restriction as to the major of the recipient.

To nominate a student, contact the director of the Sider Institute, Devin Manzullo-Thomas, at dcthomas@messiah.edu. Please include the student’s name, verification of junior status and a brief statement explaining why you feel the student merits the award. The final list of top candidates will be contacted to verify academic standing and interviewed by the selection committee. Once selected, the recipient will be presented with the Class of 1964 Wittlinger Award during the Wittlinger Chapel Series in February 2018. The award carries a $500 cash prize and a commemorative plaque.

United Way employee pledge drive launched

The annual Employee Pledge Drive runs through tomorrow, Friday, Nov. 17.

Currently, 26% of local workers earn poverty-level wages. By donating to the United Way of the Capital Region (UWCR) during the pledge drive, you can support the Workforce Development project, which helps help the un- and underemployed obtain jobs where they can earn a living wage. Partners including South Central PA Works will help individuals secure and maintain employment with organizations such as PinnacleHealth, Hershey Entertainment and Resorts Company and Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency.

Tennessee Williams’ “Summer and Smoke” continues this weekend

Messiah’s Department of Theatre and Dance is thrilled to present the Tennessee Williams classic “Summer and Smoke,” continuing this Thursday night and running until Sunday in Miller Theater.

Set in Mississippi in the early part of the 20th century, this story follows the relationship between an extremely puritanical Southern girl and a rather un-puritanical young doctor. Each is attracted to the other, but because of their vastly divergent attitudes toward life, they are unable to connect. This play explores the human experience of both body and soul and the consequences of not finding the balance between the two.

Scott Kieffer, professor of exercise science, received the Honor Award by the Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) on Nov. 4. The award honors him for more than 30 years of service in various roles over the years, most recently executive director since 2012. The organization hosts an annual event with 800 attendees, 170 abstracts/Clinical Case Studies, and 40+ invited speakers.

Sam Boden, sustainability studies and pre-law minor, published his Honors Research titled, “Food Policy Councils in the Mid-Atlantic: Working Towards Justice,” in the Journal of Agriculture Food Systems and Community Development. His work, done in the spring of 2017, focused on the role of localized food councils in Pennsylvania and Maryland and how their organizational structure influences their work toward justice and democracy in the food system.

Introducing a new public events Calendar on messiah.edu

The Office of Marketing and Communications and the Office of Conference and Event Services collaborated to develop a new online public events calendar on the College’s website at www.messiah.edu/events. The new calendar is easier to navigate, searchable, filterable and integrates with the events module of Jadu, the College’s web content management system (CMS).

What types of events are posted on the new calendar?

The primary audience for the new online calendar is prospective students and other off-campus community members. Events posted on the Public Events Calendar should meet the following criteria:

• Must have already been approved and room reserved through the Office of Conference and Event Services or other appropriate campus events protocol;
  • Must be open to the general public (would not include private, by-invitation events or events designed for primarily student or employee audiences);
  • Promotes a cultural, educational or recreational benefit to the community;
  • Must be sponsored by an official Messiah College entity (student, academic or administrative);
  • Events can be either free or paid admission.

How can I request my campus event be added to the new calendar?

Moving forward, campus event planners will be able to request that their event be added to the new Public Events Calendar (if it meets the above criteria) via an online form they will receive during the room reservation process. Accounts Payable Holiday Payment Schedule

Accounts Payable will not be processing payments the week of Thanksgiving. If you have a payment need please plan accordingly by Nov. 7, for a payment on Nov. 16, to meet payment expectations. The final payment before Christmas closing will be Thursday, Dec. 21. Please plan accordingly by Dec. 12 for a payment on Dec. 21. It is important that all payments for 2017 services, honorariums, officials, etc. be paid the same calendar year to meet IRS tax reporting guidelines.

Requisition to check processing should be 1-2 weeks prior to your payment needs and more if a new supplier. This is to allow adequate time for vendor setup, approvals and invoice processing. Keep in mind any International supplier payments can take longer due to collection of required IRS forms and verification. Our first payment in 2018 is Jan. 4. Todd Goranson, professor of music, was appointed president of the Christian Performing Artists’ Fellowship and The MasterWorks Festival on Oct. 1. CPAF is an international non-profit arts organization that hosts North America’s largest Christian performing arts festival for orchestra, piano, choral and vocal, theater, and film making students aged 14-30.

Seven students from biological sciences and chemistry and biochemistry (Danielle Delp, Krysta Goldbach, Emily Isaga, Rebekah Jones, Mark Lauria, Ashlee Leib and Justin Sweitzer) accompanied Dr. Larry Mylin and Dr. John Harms to Penn StateCollege of Medicine on Wednesday, Oct. 25. There, they had the opportunity to listen to a seminar presentation by Dr. Peter C. Doherty, 1996 co-recipient of the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for discovering how recognition of virus components by immune T cells is controlled by the genetics of the infected individual. The students were especially delighted by the opportunity to talk personally with Doherty after the seminar about Messiah College and our science program. In his seminar presentation, Doherty talked about topics that relate closely to research currently being conducted on our campus in the laboratories of Mylin and Harms.

Learning Technology Services would like to remind the faculty that it’s not too early to begin planning ahead. The 2018 J-Term and spring semester work submission deadlines have been set. Procedure review:

1. Messiah faculty are notified of the semester work submission deadlines by the administrative assistant to ITS (Diane Hunsinger) approximately 4-6 weeks before the materials are due. This allows ample time to obtain copyright clearance for course materials (if necessary) and production of your course pack in College Press.
2. Faculty must complete the online course materials form located on the ITS blog at this link: http://www.messiah.edu/forms/form/331/en/use_of_copyrighted_course_material. The online form allows you to enter/attach your copyright clearance requests, automatically creates the work requisition, and allows you to attach a PDF file of your course pack or lab manual.
3. It is imperative that faculty who plan to sell a course pack/lab manual to students notify Aleisha Wildon, course materials manager at the Campus Store and Textbook Express.
4. VERY IMPORTANT: Following the deadlines allows ample time for production, ensures our students have a positive experience when purchasing and receiving their course materials and the instructor has the assurance that their course pack is available for students to purchase before classes begin.

Geisinger Holy Spirit and Messiah College School of Graduate Studies to offer “Partners in Caring” speaker series; first one held Nov. 13

Geisinger Holy Spirit and the Messiah College School of Graduate Studies have partnered to present the “Partners in Caring” Speaker Series, designed to address relevant health and quality of life issues facing residents of south central Pennsylvania. The two entities are excited to work together in their efforts to expand their reach to a broader audience and educate the residents of south central Pennsylvania about the future of healthcare. This Speaker Series is open to the public and will prove to be beneficial to a diverse audience of students from both undergraduate and graduate programs.

The first session, a free community forum on Geisinger’s MyCode Community Health Initiative, will be held Monday, Nov. 13, from 7-8:30 p.m. in Messiah College’s Hostetter Chapel.

MyCode collects and analyzes genetic information sequenced from DNA in small amounts of blood given by participating patients. Genetic sequencing, which reads the genes in a person’s genome, finds differences in individual genes. Some of these differences can increase risk for certain medical conditions. Others are helpful, providing protection from disease.

Andy Faucett, director of policy and education at Geisinger, will provide more information about how the MyCode Community Health Initiative, one of the largest research projects of its kind in the world, is advancing the science of precision health and directly affecting the lives of Pennsylvania residents. From autism to heart disease, genetic research is helping us to better understand our personalized risks, and shows promise in helping us more effectively treat disease in the future.

Annual Soup Sale

The annual soup sale sponsored by the Division of Finance and Planning is scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 14 from 11:30 a.m.- 1:30 p.m. in the payroll office lobby, located on the first floor of Old Main. Enjoy a cup of soup for $3, a barbecue sandwich for $2 and a dessert for $1. ALL proceeds benefit local families for Christmas. We are also collecting canned goods and non-perishable food items for Silence of Mary Homes in Harrisburg. Please consider supporting this worthy cause and enjoying some homemade food/goodies!

ISO Board Games for LSU. The Larsen Student Union has a great new addition this school year – a 10-foot high, glass cabinet full of table games (think family game night)! The students can’t seem to get enough of these games and the Student Involvement and Leadership Programs office would love to fill it with event more games that you might be storing at home and no longer use. Please consider donating your unused games to the SILP office (in any condition), M-F 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. Just drop them off to the reception desk. Multiple copies will be shared around campus. The School of Business, Education and Social Sciences is pleased to announce that Stephanie Patterson has accepted the position of administrative assistant to the dean. Having joined the Messiah College community in 2013, Patterson has spent most of her time in Graduate Programs, most recently supporting the Occupational Therapy and Dietetic Internship programs. Her enthusiasm and commitment to the college are evident. Please join us in welcoming Stephanie.

Randall Zwally, senior lecturer in music, attended, by special invitation from the U. S. Dept. of State, the Swearing-In Ceremony, in Washington, D. C. of the new U. S. Ambassador to Guatemala, Dr. Luis Arreaga, on Oct. 17. After the ceremony Dr. Arreaga invited Zwally to come to Guatemala this summer to present a series of classical guitar concerts and lecture recitals. Zwally’s association with Guatemala developed during his time of study at the National Conservatory of Music of that country.

On campus internships

The Career and Professional Development Center is looking to establish a comprehensive list of on-campus internships, particularly for students who are unable to access off-campus opportunities. If you have not hosted an intern in a while or you would like to create an internship opportunity for a student, please contact the CPDC, career@messiah.edu or 717-691-6016.

Soup and dessert sale

Eight members of the Engle Center Team are participating in this year’s Harrisburg Marathon Relay. They have formed two teams of four and each team hopes to raise enough money to provide for a clean water well in a village in India that currently has no access to clean water.

Last year, four of our staff members ran for this cause, and this year we have doubled our efforts! Our desire for people to live in good health extends beyond our campus and to the other side of the world. Help us make a dent in eliminating water-borne illness!
